On a Road Trip, Snacks are Key

Summer is coming, and that means so is a craving for a good old-fashioned road trip. When you go, be sure to pack plenty of snacks for the road. Not only do they help you pass the time or keep the kids calm, but they can also save you lots of money.

Drinks are a key part of this. Be sure to put your favorites in a sturdy, air-tight cooler. Drinks on ice are always a pleasant addition to a road trip. Make sure to have the kids' favorites, and don't be afraid to have one or two of your own.

Simple things ready to go from a package are simpler than stuff that needs a lot of prep. Cookies, fruit bars, and crackers are the easiest solutions, but you can also pre-make sandwiches, bring fruit if you store it properly, or make your own trail mix.

Just always make sure everyone on the trip has their favorites, and things should go fine.
